Have you paid your finance company to regain possession of your unit?
- After paying my finance company to regain possession of my unit, what do I need to do?
- Once you have paid your finance company, they must send a release to SCM. Upon receiving the release, it will be processed to the repossession agent. After this, the authorized party(s) listed on the release can make an appointment to retrieve the unit.
- Who is allowed to retrieve the unit?
- Only the authorized party(s) listed on the release from the finance company will be permitted to retrieve the unit. A valid driver’s license is also required.
- Can I make a same-day appointment to retrieve my unit?
- No, all appointments are scheduled in advance, and same-day appointments are not permitted.
Is the unit stored with SCM?
- Where is the unit stored?
- The unit is stored at the repossession agent’s lots. SCM does not store the unit.
- How can I get the address to retrieve my unit?
- The repossession agent will provide the address for retrieval once the release is processed and the agent has confirmed the redemption appointment.
How do I receive the repo lot’s information to make an appointment?
- How can I obtain the repossession agent’s lot information?
- You can obtain the repossession agent’s lot phone number from one of our customer service members by calling 469-608-6600 upon SCM’s confirmation of the redemption release. Alternatively, you can fill out the redemption form.
How will I know if there are any fees owed at the time of release when picking up my unit?
- Are there any fees due at the time of release?
- The finance company determines if any fees are due at the time of release and the amount. SCM will not have the fee details until your finance company has sent SCM the release instructions and you are authorized to redeem your unit.
What if you have paid your finance company and SCM has advised they have not received the release authorization?
- What should I do if SCM has not received the release authorization after I have paid my finance company?
- Once you have paid the finance company and they have advised you are authorized to redeem the unit, it may take up to 24 hours for the finance company to send the release to SCM. You can contact your finance company to inquire about when SCM should expect the redemption release.
